pine paipo

here is my newest board I just finished a 1'x5' x5/8" with a 2" bend in the nose

    Have you had any luck using solid pine? I'm finding western red cedar too pricy. Will be building my first Paipo this year, been a serious bodyboarder for quite a while and understand the Paipo's are pretty fast.
